slight platelet paroxysm and painting

I am home sick from school today. I had a minor but sudden petichiae breakout... I was fooling around with my sister yesterday giving her piggy-back rides, and when I came in Mom noticed petichiae on my face and neck, and I later noticed it scattered faintly across my chest and shoulders. I didn't really want to go to school with a spread of tiny burst capillaries on my face that closely resemble some sort of infectious rash... so I stayed home. The petichiae is also ever-so-faintly on my stomach and legs, too. I think that may have been caused by my run yesterday...

gah, platelets....

It ended up being timely, because I'm feeling ill with body-aches and a persistent headache again. So I did some homework this morning, rested a bit.... and whipped out the paints! I never do that. I'm not gifted in painting/drawing/sculpting/producing much visual art requiring careful handiwork and imagination... I'll stick with musical instruments and cameras, I think.

I guess it was more for the process than the product... I stopped painting after a while because I didn't know where to go with things and was not pleased with what I had made, and knew forcing something wasn't going to be productive. It was good to play with colors and brush strokes and mix some paints around (look at my painting tray...) and get my hands a little messy. Therapeutic, I guess!

  2. Lovely little tree painting! I love how having a messy palette automatically makes me feel like an artist! Isn't painting so calming?
